Dear Malaysians

Decisions we make in our life reflect upon our upbringing. In most situations, we make the wrong decisions and we learn the lesson but how often do we think and rationalize between the right and the wrong before making those decisions.

Now that we have heard a little about that, let us see what some of those wrong decisions can make us what we are today. What makes the cover of your morning newspapers?
Since I am a Malaysian, obviously I am referring to The Star or The News Strait Times.

Gangsterism. Seeing Malaysians being involved in this, I feel rather ashamed. I am disappointed and upset that the younger generations could not rationalize to do the right thing and their parents did not serve as a good example for them to follow suit.I am disappointed that our future is at jeopardy that these young blood that were suppose to contribute for our nation decided to take the easy route out and give up their struggle.

But allow me to share with you the exact thoughts that were running through my mind. What are the true purpose of these poor souls being involved in gangsterism? If they weren't involved in this would they have turned out to be a better citizen or son or brother or spouse or even friend? A better man? What has led them to this option for everything else was always there? Couldn't they see the other choices which were there then to lead that shameful life?

Now when its all too late, what are they going to do? Lead a life behind bars? Leaving all their loved ones in tears? They say poverty.  But I say excuses. Yes the work opportunity out there is rather scarce but that does not permit one to give the excuse of poverty only to mask his non attempt to make his life better the right way. Stealing, cheating or performing any act of gangsterism is not an option and it is not cool. These values should be instilled in every child for they would shape a better future for our nation. One that is much needed now than ever.
